STAFF INTERVIEW with AMY SCHULDT

STAFF INTERVIEW with AMY SCHULDT

Miss Amy Schuldt has been a constant smiling face at Arthur Murray Fort Wayne for the past thirteen years. Beginning as a teacher-in-training through becoming the Studio Manager, she has taught, challenged, and cheered on all the students who walked through the doors. She is moving on from the Arthur Murray Fort Wayne family to start a new adventure and we couldn’t be more excited for her! We sat down with Amy to reflect on her impressive career and to get some final advice from the one-and-only “Miss Schuldt.”

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM ARTHUR MURRAY HIMSELF

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM ARTHUR MURRAY HIMSELF

As I was doing a little winter cleaning over the holidays, I stumbled upon a wonderful piece of history - a copy of “Arthur Murray’s Dance Book” from the early 1940’s.

These little booklets were part of how Mr. Murray spread the joys and teachings of dancing to masses. Each book contained illustrations, diagrams, anecdotes, stories, Do’s & Don’ts, advice, and more. Once I found the book, I took a few moments to flip through the tea-stained pages and found an article written by Mr. Murray himself that just had to share.

In it, he describes how he came to love dancing, the obstacles he overcame, and what he believes dancing could do for the nation.

BABY ON BOARD!

BABY ON BOARD!

You may have heard of the many positive benefits dancing can offer, such as increased flexibility, maintaining mental awareness, improving posture and balance, increasing social ease, and more. However, these benefits can be even more worthwhile during your pregnancy. Often, it can be difficult to get up and exercise while pregnant, but believe me, get up and dance! It will do wonders for your mind, body, & health during & after your pregnancy. It did for me.
