IT'S FESTIVAL SEASON IN FORT WAYNE!

It’s always the best when the staff and students of Arthur Murray Fort Wayne take their footprints out of the studio and do some dancing around town. That’s part of what Arthur Murray’s is about, right… preparing your dancing for real life? So once again, we are heading down to Headwater’s Park on certain Friday evenings to enjoy some of Fort Wayne’s most loved festivals this June.

GERMANFEST

Germanfest is one of Fort Wayne’s first BIG festivals to kickoff the summer season. Celebrate the German culture with a variety of activities, such as Wiener Dog Races, a Legs n’ Lederhosen contest, and a Grape Stomping competition. We are always more excited about the great Polka bands and huge wooden dance floor available throughout the festival. Prepare to Polka, Waltz, Swing, and Rumba the night away as you experience some classic tunes Bavarian style! You haven’t danced until you dance to Sweet Caroline played by a Polka band.

When: The Friday of the first full week in June. The staff will be down there by 9pm. Look for us on the dance floor!

Where: Headwater’s Park Pavillion

Cost: $5 after 5pm, Under 14 Free with Parent, Military Personnel Free with ID (All minors must be accompanied by parent. No one under 21 is permitted after 9:30pm.)

BBQ RIBFEST

Rib Fest is always fun because it’s nothing but a BBQ and Blues lover’s paradise! You can try different types of ribs & BBQ while enjoying quality dancing time with your Arthur Murray family. This festival includes a lot of blues music while dancing on the concrete in front of the band... so, you know what that means? You also get an opportunity to use your dancing in a REAL real-life situation with Arthur Murray by your side. You can’t get better then that!

Be prepared for some rockin’ Swing, Nightclub Two Step, Jitterbug, & West Coast Swing. Unless you have really old dance shoes you don’t care about, best to wear street shoes that are snug to your foot to dance on the concrete.

When: The Friday of the second full week in June. The staff will be down there by 9pm. Look for us near the band!

Where: Headwater’s Park Pavillion

Cost: $6 after 5pm, $5 Seniors, $4 Students, Military, Police, & Fire Personnel with ID, Under 13 Free with Adult

Whether it’s Germanfest or Ribfest, both of these festivals are a great time to venture outside the studio walls, & see what it’s like to have a night on the town with your instructors and fellow students. If you’re nervous or doubtful about your dancing, we want to encourage you to still come downtown, find our tables, and be apart of this once a year opportunity. We want you all to be apart of the fellowship as we eat, drink, and dance our way through the night!
